Over Spring Break I participated in a game jam called the Spring Break Jam. The theme was Cyberpunk, which was cool, but pretty broad. It was hard for me to think of an idea for the jam, but eventually I decided to start a point and click adventure game. I didn’t get far in terms of the Jam, but the core mechanics of a point and click are there.
The art style is heavily inspired by pixel art point and clicks, however instead of creating sprite sheets for the animations and drawing out each frame, I decided to do a marionette style animation. I’ve drawn out individual pieces and attached them to empty game objects that would act as bones for me to animate using Unity’s animation features.
Like I said, it’s not much, but I do plan on continuing to work on it.
